Supported File Types

LTC Magic is designed for production audio workflows and supports linear PCM and 32-bit float WAV/BWF files. Timeline Builder also accepts AAF files with chased timecode and Timeline XML. Burnt-in Timecode accepts a picture (MOV, MP4, MXF or M4V) and an FCPXML timeline. The timeline output is FCPXML.

For best results, use uncompressed production audio such as WAV or BWF. Compressed formats can damage or obscure LTC signals, especially if the timecode was recorded as an audio tone.

If a file fails to process, check whether it is supported, whether the audio is readable by the operating system and whether the LTC channel is present.
