Working with Grouped Tracks

Grouped tracks are files that belong together, such as split mono recordings from the same take or multiple WAVs representing a single production moment.

LTC Magic can help keep related tracks together when rebuilding a timeline. This is important because editorial and mixing teams usually expect production audio to remain grouped by take, scene, roll, or recorder structure.

When working with grouped tracks, make sure filenames, timestamps, and folder structure are consistent. If files from the same take have different names or missing metadata, LTC Magic may need extra guidance to interpret the relationship between them.

Before export, check that grouped tracks appear together as expected and that no related channel has been separated or placed at the wrong time.
