Validation Checklist

Use validation as a final sanity check before delivery.

Check the following:

1. All expected audio files are present.
2. LTC was decoded successfully where required.
3. The selected frame rate is correct.
4. Drop-frame or non-drop-frame settings match the project.
5. Timeline start time is correct.
6. For AAF audio matching, the alignment offset and confidence have been reviewed, or a manual offset has been verified.
7. Grouped WAVs remain together.
8. No clips are unexpectedly missing, duplicated or overlapping.
9. The FCPXML imports correctly.
10. Media relinks on the receiving system.
11. Any warnings have been reviewed and explained.

Validation warnings do not always mean the job has failed. They mean something deserves attention before you trust the output.
