Timeline Rebuilds

A timeline rebuild uses decoded timecode and file metadata to place audio clips back into their correct timeline positions.

This is useful when you need to recreate the recording day, rebuild a sound timeline for editorial, or prepare an FCPXML that can be imported into an editing application.

A clean rebuild depends on three things: readable LTC, correct frame rate settings, and consistent source media. If any of those are wrong, the timeline may still export, but clips can land at incorrect positions.

Always review the rebuilt timeline before delivery. Check the start time, clip order, obvious gaps, overlaps, grouped tracks, and any files flagged during validation.
